Friendships That Give Glory to God

by Jena Starke

Our February Pendergraph event was devoted to the topic of friendship and we were very pleased to have Mrs. Diane Schreiner and Mrs. Jodi Ware with us.  The highlights of their message encouraged us to cultivate friendships that are fruitful for the kingdom, are real and honest, don’t exclude others, and provide encouragement.  They exhorted us to be dependable and Christ-like, and to realize the necessity of having godly friendships in our lives.  They also dwelt on God’s friendship toward us:  His presence (Hebrews 13:5-6), His comfort (II Cor 1:3-5) and His graciousness that allows us to extend grace to others.  We then spent more time on the topic in discussion groups and in prayer.

Praise God for the blessing of friendship and thank you Mrs. Ware and Mrs. Schreiner for being with us!
